April Arndt has lived in Nevada for three decades. She attended the Community College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. April has been serving Nevada since 1999, when she was first sworn in as a Boulder City Reserve Police Officer. In 2001, she was hired by the Henderson Police Department.

April Arndt understands what it takes to keep Nevada streets safe. She’s worked as a patrol officer, in community policing, and as a detective. Her detective work focused on problem solving, property and financial crimes, and the Special Victims Unit.

April is dedicated to protecting and educating local kids and families. She worked with youth in a drug and alcohol diversion program, and worked directly with students, teaching the dangers of drinking and driving. April has also worked with homeowners and businesses during “National Night Out” to educate about crime prevention and community safety.

April is a loving mother and wife, devoted to making our community a better place for our families. She is a mother of 3, married to a Henderson Fire Captain.

April survived the tragic mass shooting at Route 91. Afterwards, she made the difficult decision to retire and focus on family. Now, she’s getting back to her roots in public service to improve District 21.
